I have clicked off the scroll bar boxes in my forms numerous times and the forms keep having scroll bars regardless.
When in graphics mode, a form always has scroll bars. If the option is turned off, the scroll bars will disappear when in data mode, but not when in graphics mode.
What I am saying is that I turn off the scroll bars while in graphics mode and when I return to data mode they are indeed gone. When I switch to a different form in the file and then return to the form, the scroll bars are turned back on in the graphics mode. It looks as ifs the scroll bar settings from one form are transferred into thew next form opened.
No one has ever reported this before, and I use this feature heavily myself. It’s 100% reliable.
The one possibility would be if you made this change and then immediately closed the file without explicity saving the file. Because changing the scroll bar options is not an undo-able change, it does not trigger auto-save on it’s own. But if you make any undo-able change, or if you explicitly save the file, the setting will definitely be saved.
