We are still experiencing frequent data entry crashes, but we are learning to minimize crashes by exercising care. Copying the contents from a Text Edit Object and then pasting the contents into an outside program will often cause a crash (spinning beach ball), but Copying the contents to the clipboard, then Saving the file before pasting the clipboard elsewhere, avoids the crash. Today we discovered a new one. Clicking on a record in a Text List Object highlights the record as expected, but if the user starts typing, as if to edit the highlighted record (I know that it is not possible to edit a record that way), a beach ball will follow with certainty.
If I had this problem, I would examine the server logs to see what I could learn. Do you know how to enable and find the server logs? No guarantee, but sometimes they can help with diagnosing a problem.
