Text Editor Objects remain highlighted after use

I have a couple of Text Editor Objects which remain highlighted after use, like this:

I’ve tried this:

    jdInvoiceNum = ""
    jdCustomerCode = ""
    showvariables jdInvoiceNum,jdCustomerCode

but it doesn’t help. TEOs on other forms don’t do this but I can’t find any difference between their set-up and these.
