Single user file copy of shared file

I am wondering if there is an established protocol for making a single user copy of a shared database?

I don’t know about a protocol, but just go to Database Options, Server tab and uncheck “Share Database”. I usually make a duplicate of the database in the finder, unshare the original, then take off “copy” from the duplicated one. It will still be a shared database.

Thanks, Jeff. Instead of unchecking Share Database, I was in a hurry and did something else. I may have taken the file off-line and then made a copy. That created a bit of a mess.

If you didn’t check the Delete from Server option you can always download a shared copy from the server.
