Hi all. Would like recommendations on scanning UPC bar codes into a Pan database. Can this be done with an iPhone? If not, recommended devices?
Would Pan talk to any of these devices directly for field input - or, is it a more cumbersome process (i.e. scan the codes into a CSV file, import into Pan, etc.)
Scanning input is no different than keyboard input as far as Panorama is concerned - or any other app for that matter. A bar code scanner submits the same info to the computer that a keyboard would. If you have an iPhone app that is able to scan and transfer the code to the computer as if it’s keyboard input, it will work with Panorama.
Otherwise, with current systems, if you can get the scanned input onto the iPhone’s clipboard you can paste on the computer.
