When opening our file we get: The document “Consignment db (Panorama 6).pandb” could not be opened. The database is damaged (settings.plist component is missing). The file opens if we open Panorama first.
First of all, it sounds like you probably have two copies of Panorama installed on your computer. One version is launching when you double click on the app, a different one is launching when you double click on a database icon.
Not only do you have two copies, it sounds like one is a much older version. My recommendation would probably be to delete ALL copies of the application, and then download and install a fresh copy from provue.com. Just click Download Trial and follow the instructions.
Once you are using the up-to-date version, my guess is that you’ll see the database is damaged alert every time you open the database. This documentation page explains how to resolve that problem.
