A digital photography catalogue, ImageLog, has been posted to the Database Exchange.
ImageLog is a database designed for tracking large collections of digital photographs. It’s especially suitable for professional photographers looking for a replacement for their Panorama 6 photo catalogue. ImageLog is a work in progress and is being offered for free under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
This is not a replacement for the likes of Lightroom, but rather as a compliment to it or similar software. As most photographers know, Lightroom and other ‘cataloguing’ software leave a lot to be desired in handling all the info that is connected to an image… licensing, metadata, model releases, caption, keywords, copyright …

Hello James,
Thanks for sharing ImageLog, I am a complete newbie and although I have tinkered around with Panorama X a few times I have a lot to learn. I downloaded ImageLog from the database exchange and I a bit lost in terms of how to add the digital pictures information to the database.
After reading the help section and the database options, I can see in the Auxiliary tab and in the Relations tab that picture databases can be opened and joined to ImageLog.
I am a bit lost how to create these databases with my pictures, I asume that I should be able to have file with EXIF data from the pictures and select the fields that I want to see in the form in the relations tab but I don’t know how to link the pictures to the database I need to create.
Any tips on where I can find some information on how to do this would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
Manuel
