I was a little surprised to see that ProVUE logged 164 hours of use for me last month. I always have Pan running but I thought that idle and sleep time were not counted. Plus, half of my use is off line with no issues. I have made major progress in converting my business files and as always have found alternative ways to achieved the needed feature.

I’m not sure what you mean by this. Are you saying that your computer isn’t connected to the internet half of the time? That usage still counts. When you’re not connected, Panorama saves up the usage and reports it the next time the computer IS connected.

It isn’t. Panorama counts time used in 15 minute increments, and it only counts a 15 minute increment if there was a key pressed or a mouse click. Last month you had 656 15 minute increments with a key pressed or a mouse click. Divide 656 by 4 and you get 164 hours. That’s about 5.5 hours per day if you work every day, or 8 hours per day if you only work weekdays.

Keep in mind that the charge for Panorama use is monthly, not hourly. So you were charged the same as if you used Panorama for only one hour - $5. So you paid 3 cents per hour for Panorama use last month - perhaps the bargain of the year! (Though of course your marginal cost for additional hours is zero once you get past the first hour.)
