Panorama X2-problem with Apple

When I try to download the trial version of Panorama X, I get this error message:
“PanoramaX 2” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
This software needs to be updated.Contact the developer for more information.

This is an Apple error message. It is only supposed to appear when you attempt to launch software that has not been notarized by Apple. Panorama X definitely HAS been notarized by Apple. In spite of this, sometimes macOS seems to get confused and thinks that the software is not notarized. This never used to happen at all, but recently we have been receiving a couple of reports of this problem per month. There is nothing we (ProVUE) can do about this, so we have been asking customers to contact Apple for assistance. We haven’t heard back from any of these customers, so presumably Apple has been able to help. But we have been unable to find out what steps Apple has recommended. (Note: This problem does happen with other software as well, not just Panorama X.)
