Panorama X 10.2.1 Release Notes

A new Panorama X release is now available. Most users can simply let Panorama automatically update. If you have any problems with the automatic update, the direct download link is:

Or, you can simply go to http://www.provue.com and download the trial version, which is the same version.

This version fixes four issues and includes minor documentation corrections:

  • Fixes processing of credit card payments (as of Jan 17, 2025, previous versions of Panorama can no longer accept credit card payments due to a server change made by Stripe). If you need to make a payment, you must upgrade to this new version.
  • The Recompililing Code operation (also see setdatabaseoptions) now works with fields that contain spaces and/or punctuation. This change affects 8 types of form objects: data buttons (checkboxes & radio buttons), popup menus, scroll bars, sliders, steppers, text lists and matrixes.
  • The Text Import wizard now works when skipping the first line AND the first data line is blank. (This used to cause errors when doing the import, it thought there were more text columns than database fields.)
  • The csvtotsv( function now converts carriage returns/line feeds within a cell into vertical tabs. Assuming, of course, that the cell is properly quoted. Note that this allows the Import Text File into Current Database wizard to work with text files that contain multiple lines (see Text Import).
  • Documentation corrections submitted by Craig McPherson, David Scott, Robert Ameeti.

Error message on update screen:

I got the email about the update. Whenever I launch Panorama I get a popup window, similar to ones I’ve gotten about past updates. But there’s no info in the window – instead, I get a 404 error.

For some reason your web cache for this particular web page must be messed up. However, you can still use the updater window to install the update - you just can’t read the release notes. But you’ve already read them (see above), so that shouldn’t be a problem.

To install the update, just follow the instructions on this help page. Basically, you just need to click the download icon.

You shouldn’t have any trouble, but if for some reason you do, you can always manually install the update by downloading the trial version from provue.com, or downloading using the direct link mentioned above.
