I recall having this same problem when I upgraded to El Capitan but I don’t remember how I fixed it. The Font Book app shows that I have Courier installed and MS Word documents certainly display it properly but when when I select Courier as the font for a Panorama procedure, it defaults to Courier New. Is there a way to fix this?
The Courier font is listed in the System Library as a Datafork TrueType font.
This is not another weird effect like I have been experiencing - I did a clean install of Sierra and everything else is working fine.
