Sorry if this is not the correct place to ask, but when using Panorama X (4623) on MacOS 27, the only way i can get to the menus is to right click the apple and then glide over to the menu i need. Known issue, or one-off on my machine?
FWIW: I tested macOS 27 Beta in a Virtual Buddy virtual machine and now can confirm the report of databish: I can get to most of the PanX menus only the way databish described: sliding from the Apple menu — with two exceptions: I am not able to activate the “Panorama X” menu neither the “Help” menu. Quitting Panorama X is only possible via context menu (right click) on the dock icon.
I am not able to discern if this is a macOS 27 Beta problem or a Panorama X issue with macOS 27.
@KJM Thanks for the tip about Virtual Buddy. I actually met the developer of that app, Gui Rambo, a few years ago at WWDC, and I listen to his podcast, Stack Trace.
How did you get the Device Support Update needed to install macOS 27? Did you install. Xcode 27, or did you find the update separately somewhere?

Jim, I found it in Apple’s Developer portal, close to each of the beta downloads of macOS 27. The name was something like “Mobile Support”. It was not a big download, just a few MB.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I was looking for. So far I’m having quite a difficult time with the first step, installing Tahoe 26.6 - the download keeps stalling. So far no luck in over 30 hours, but hopefully that will clear up.
In the meantime, thanks to a friend of mine I just was able to VNC into a system running the Golden Gate beta. Here are my results:
- The Panorama X and Help menus don’t respond to clicks
- All other menus (apple, file, edit, etc.) work normally. In other words, I can for example click on the File or Edit menu, and it works just fine.
- If you tap on one of the menus that do work, you can slide over to the Panorama X and Help menus and they work. You don’t have to slide over from the Apple menu, you can also click on File, Edit, etc and slide over to Panorama X menu or the Help menu.
- But if you press and hold on one of the working menus you CANNOT slide over to the Panorama X and Help menus. Sliding over only works if you tap and release on Apple, File, Edit, etc.
- Command key equivalents in all menus work, including Command-Comma (Settings) and Command-? (Help). In other words, even for the menus that can’t be clicked on, the Command keys still work.
This definitely seems like an Apple bug in the macOS 27 beta, so my next task will be to put together a bug report to send to Apple. Then we’ll have to cross our fingers and hope Apple will fix this. I’m guessing it is a pretty simple to fix bug, if it can get someone’s attention. I do have a clue about why these two menus are different from the other menus. This difference shouldn’t cause a problem, but these two menus are created in a different way from all of the other menus.
This is a new bug in macOS 27, and I have submitted a bug report to Apple. If anyone on here has any pull with Apple, the feedback # is FB24615642.
Fortunately, I believe I have figured out a way to revise the way Panorama sets up the menus to get around this problem. I have uploaded an experimental version of Panorama X that resolves the issue as far as I can see. Since this is experimental, it must be downloaded manually, which you can do via this link:

For anyone reading this using macOS 27, please try this experimental version and let me know if it resolves the menu problems. Also please let me know if you see any new problems - I have not had time to fully test this new version. (I don’t think there are any new problems, but that’s why you test!)
Jim, it seems you have solved the menu problem. I downloaded this version in my macOS 27 virtual machine and was able to use the menus without any problem.

I had the bug in the version i was using and this new version appears to have fixed it.
A file that uses elastic forms has started to misbehave but i cannot say for sure that it has anything to do with MacOS27, it could have been me that nudged something. I will check it on the last Panorama release and report accordingly.
