I just noticed that some 20 plus fields had been added to my Production file during a rare use of the Data Sheet. I have never used AddField in a procedure and can’t imagine how this could have happened. I deleted the fields, press command S to save and Pan immediately quit with the huge error report. Pan crashes immediately when I try to open it. I lost a week’s worth of data that will be tough to remember. Is there any way to pull the data out of the file?

Might it have been more prudent to quit without saving? If you’re running Time Machine you might get lucky.
That has saved me way too many times.
