Is there any way of closing a corrupted database other than Force Quitting Panorama (and thus closing all of the other dbs that may be open)?
No, there isn’t. Frequently this error message means there is a hardware problem with your computer, at least a temporary problem. For example, cosmic rays can knock a memory bit off (seriously).
