I thought this came up recently but I can’t find it now.
Using CopyRecord then PasteRecord, if a cell contains a Tab, field alignments are disrupted and anything following the Tab is palced into the subesequent fields.

CopyRecord exports the current record as tab delimited text to the clipboard. PasteRecord imports it. So yes, it won’t work if the data itself contains tabs. In general it’s a good idea to avoid tabs in data cells, or any other invisible character.
Absolutely agree. They have their way of getting there though.
