I have a dataset with monthly data starting in 1906. When I create a chart the data from 1906 through 2006 plots OK, but the more recent data plots on top of the 1906 through 1923 data instead of the x axis extending to 2023, plus some strange horizontal lines appear.
If you plot the data by year, it will work. But you are correct, it will not correctly plot more than a century of data by month or quarter.
