There is a faint line that displays between field names in the header of the Data Sheet. Is there any chance that that divider could be colored Red if there are fields hidden between the adjacent fields? It seems so easy to forget or overlook hidden fields and this might assist with the recongition of hidden fields. This could be espescially helpful when multiple people are working on a db.
No chance at all! That could be a nice feature, but this line is drawn by Apple’s NSTableView code and making even a seemingly minor change like this would require rewriting a major portion of NSTableView to accomplish this. You might find this hard to believe, but probably would be weeks of work with a high chance of significant new bugs as NSTableView is very complex.
