Choices not displaying when editing

In Pan 6, if you had choices for a field in the design sheet, when editing the field in the data sheet, the choices would pop up for selection with the mouse or a key on the keyboard. On a form, you could use a text wrap cell to get get the same result. I can’t seem to make this happen in Pan X. I don’t want to use a popup object and “popup editing” doesn’t display the choices either.

How is this accomplished in Pan X?

Panorama X does not have this feature.

To expand on that a bit, I’m not saying that Panorama X will absolutely never have this feature, but it is very very far down the list at the moment.
