This morning (Feb 4) from 5AM to 10AM all ProVUE internet services were unreachable. This was not a local outage, it affected the web server (hosted in California), email (which is hosted in Australia) and this forum (which is hosted in the Netherlands). The only common denominator is DNS service, so apparently there was a DNS outage of some sort. I don’t believe that is under our control, so I’m glad it returned online in only 5 hours. Perhaps some sort of scheduled maintenance somewhere? I will be checking with our ISP to see if they know anything about it, though my impression was that DNS was a distributed worldwide system.
