Files is read only. Can't figure out why

I have a shared file that shows up on one client as read only. On the other clients it is fully editable. Downloading a fresh copy from the server still shows the file as read-only on the problem client. Any ideas? The problem client is running Big Sur. The other clients are running Mojave.

No idea.

Do other shared databases work on this computer?

I don’t suppose the Disable Server Connections option is turned on?

The client was able to ping the server, but was not able to connect to the server. We finally removed the server from the list of servers on the client. Then we added the server back to the list. That corrected the problem.
