Pan 6 on 10.7.5 Memory/Performance Question

When I have a particular database, around 245MB loaded, this and any other open databases will become painfully slow. A lot of spinning beach balls when trying to change fields in a form. This database has resume text stored in a single field for each record. If I clear that field in all records, the database will run smoothly again. I am attaching a screen shot of my memory usage to see if there are any issues there. I tried allocating 2GB, but it seems that 1GB is max. Correct?

Any ideas on how to reduce the beach balls would be appreciated.

Yes, 1 GB is the max for Panorama 6. This is actually a limitation of the old Apple API’s that version 6 uses.
