This is easy in Pan X with a Text List, but I’m not sure it is possible in Pan 6. The “external value” in question is retrieved from a lookup( for each record. If I put this value as the first column in a Text List and turn sorting on, it works beautifully. But in Pan 6 I have a View-as-List form for this report and I can’t find a way to order the lines of the report by the value in that lookup(. Is it possible?
In a view-as-list form, the records will be in the same order they are in the data sheet. To get them to sort in the order you want, you will need to fill a field with those values, and then sort the database with that field as the active field.
I figured that was my only option. Thanks for the response.
